For three generations, the same family has run the Old Kiekduun. Surrounded by the vast nature of the Wadden Sea and just a bike ride away from the bustling terraces and shops of Buren and Nes.

No pets allowed

Kiekduun is a site where rabbits and pheasants roam freely between the caravans and tents. So pets are not allowed on the campsite.

Sustainable camping

On Ameland and in particular here at Kiekduun, we are very conscious of the environment. Ameland is rich in nature, from its forests to its beautiful beaches. We want to keep it this way. The toilet block features various energy saving systems. Also, our beach cafe, the Buren van Nes was awarded Most Sustainable Beach pavilion in the Netherlands in 2010.
